MidTones J-Pop Night returns to Grand Star Jazz Club in L.A.’s Chinatown on Friday, June 5th. Headliners Flying Platforms featuring guitarist Shin Kawasaki will perform a set of J-Pop and rock tunes from the Showa era to the present. The event also features a performance by J-Pop Idol Chii Sakurabi, and Tune in Tokyo as house DJs.
Sean Danconia will be on hand with a special POP-UP Art Show showcasing a preview of his newest creation – SūpāPop! which will be launching at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas on June 9-11th.

MidTones this month also doubles as the official pre-party for Little Tokyo’s NINJA-CON convention, opening the following day (Saturday, June 6th) at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center.
Tune in Tokyo will veejay modern and retro J-Pop hits including Idol, Kayōkyoku, J-Electro, plus K-Pop all night!
Cover is $5, Ages 21+. Event hours are 9 PM – 2 AM.
