AnimeNYC 2018 reveals final artist lineup for and ticket dates for Anisong World Matsuri

Anime NYC powered by Crunchyroll has announced the final artist to join the lineup of the inaugural Anisong World Matsuri concert event in New York City, to be held November 16 and 17 at the historic Hammerstein Ballroom.

nano (Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Btooom!) will join previously announced J-Pop artists Luna Haruna, Shoko Nakagawa, Morning Musume。’18 and more for the two-day Anisong World Matsuri at Anime NYC. Tickets and VIP packages will go on sale beginning Monday, August 27 for Anime NYC Mega Ticket holders, with general pre-sales starting later in the week.

The Anisong World Matsuri at Anime NYC concert event is the first time the Anisong World Matsuri concert series will be presented in New York after shows in Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and Shanghai. The November 16th and 17th concerts will be open to anime fans and music lovers worldwide, with no Anime NYC badge required to attend. Ticket details are listed below.

Anisong World Matsuri brings together the most popular Japanese singers whose songs span the most popular anime of the last decade. Hironobu Kageyama is the leader of super group JAM Project and the voice behind Dragon Ball Z’s “Cha-La Head-Cha-La”. Hiroshi Kitadani is best known for “We Are!” from One Piece. Shoko Nakagawa sang Gurren Lagann’s “Sorairo Days”. Konomi Suzuki is behind “Redo” from Re:Zero. TRUE has given voice to themes from anime including Violet Evergarden, Sound Euphonium, and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. Luna Haruna has performed themes for Sword Art Online, Fate/Zero, Monogatari, and more. Niconico star and New York City native nano has contributed songs to Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Btooom!, and Gunslinger Stratos 2. Morning Musume。,one of the biggest Japanese girl groups of all time, has sold millions of albums and celebrates their 20th anniversary this year. Morning Musume。’18 is the group’s current lineup.

Anisong World Matsuri has also released a special message video from Morning Musume。’18 to fans in New York, including comments from Haruna Iikubo, who will make her final overseas appearance at the concert event in November.
