Japanese idol group Wasuta (“The World Standard”) returned for their third straight year of performances at Japan Expo Thailand on January 26 and 27, 2019.

Wasuta delivered five mini-concerts in two days at the Central World complex in Bangkok, Thailand, connecting with overseas fans who traveled from throughout Asia to support the group. Wasuta’s recent international activities also include last month’s concert at Kazuna 2018 in Vietnam and Japan Weekend Madrid in September 2018. Wasuta’s collaboration single with Spanish duo Adexe and Nau, “Yo Quiero Vivir” has achieved over 2.6 million views on YouTube.

At the Japan Expo Thailand event, Wasuta appeared in their colorful new stage costumes created for the upcoming album CAT’CH THE WORLD scheduled for release on March 6.

Hazuki (Pastel Yellow): This was my fourth time visiting Thailand, and Wasuta’s third time appearing at Japan Expo Thailand. I’m so happy that I got to see our fans again that we haven’t seen in a year, and we also met new fans, too! I’ll work hard to visit Thailand and see our fans again!

Nanase (Pastel Green, group leader): I felt that the Thai people, not just our fans, really know how to enjoy themselves watching us on stage, and so many people waved at us with the big smiles after the show. I always feel so much love from this country! We performed some tracks for the first time in Thailand, and I think we were able to present a very ‘Wasuta’ style showcase!

Miri (Pastel Purple): I was so happy to see our fans in Thailand for the third time at Japan Expo Thailand. I really focused on making our concerts interesting for not just the Thai fans, but also for fans who visited from other countries. The fan reactions are always so energizing for me, so it always makes me think that I want to go back again. I love Thailand even more now!

Ririka (Pastel Blue): I feel so delighted to be invited to Japan Expo Thailand for the third time. I felt so much love from the ‘Wa-ships’ in Thailand who welcomed us back again and the ‘Wa-ships’ who came to see us from other countries. The energy coming from the fans during the concert was amazing! It was a very heartwarming event. I’ll work hard to come back to Thailand again!

Ruka (Pastel Pink): This was my fourth time visiting Thailand, and every time we perform, I feel more love and spirit from the audience. I feel so happy! I want to work even harder to share the happiness with everyone again!

Wasuta’s next overseas appearance will take place at @JAM×TALE in Hong Kong on March 3.
